An excerpt from a place a feeling something he said to you, my new book, was posted on Berfrois today. Go ahead and check it out.
"It is a warm afternoon at the Berkeley Marina and you try jumping out of the car as he’s driving around the parking lot screaming at you but he grabs onto the backpack on your back forcing you back into the car."
The book is being published by Spooky Girlfriend Press with a release date of January 8, 2020 and is available for pre-order now here.
I wrote this book to feel less alone, and to help others feel less alone. I wrote this book because I was trying to write a novel but kept coming back to these stories of trauma and I felt like I needed to write about that first before I could continue on with the novel.
I spent the majority of 2019 in a productive writing block, writing about trauma and exploring my own trauma and reading and immersing myself in other people’s stories about their traumas, all in an effort to move on. I hope it helps.
